Plus Two Lecturers appeal LG for time bound promotion, regularisation

JAMMU, Nov 3: A meeting of All J&K Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum was held here today under the chairmanship of its State President Deepak Sharma, to discuss burning issues and demands pertaining to Plus Two cadre.
Deepak Sharma demanded sanction of Assured Career progression scheme (ACP)/Time Bound Promotion in favour of Plus Two Cadre on the analogy of other gazetted cadres of UT of J&K i.e. three Time Bound Promotions (from level 9/5400 GP to Level 13/8700GP) within a span of 20 years to remove worst type of stagnation and end discrimination with the cadre. He appealed to Lt Governor for his personal intervention to do justice with the cadre.
Forum demanded immediate issuance of regularisation orders of Principals and left over cases of Jt Directors, CEOs and Lecturers pending for want of petty reasons. Forum also demanded adjustment of already promoted left over Lecturers and repatriation of others for smooth functioning of Department besides release of list of Senior Lecturers as per one-third cadre strength.
Other demands raised during the meeting, included streamlining of salary issue of NPS lecturers, revocation of SRO-202 for all Government employees, including Plus Two lecturers, provision of Earned Leave in favour of teaching community, restoration of 40 percent college quota, non vacational status to Plus Two Principals and removal of their pay disparity and regularization and removal of pay disparity of Physical Education Lecturers.
