JAMMU, June 10: All J&K Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum organised 2nd virtual meeting under the chairmanship of RS.Slathia (general secretary) and hosted by Pardeep Singh ( District President Jammu and Convenor of JK UT) . Around 60 participants hailing from different districts of Jammu division including Principals and Lecturers attended the virtual meeting.
The main issue discussed was filling up of all the vacant posts of Headmasters/ ZEO’s/ Principals for the smooth conduct of academic session. The members also demanded revival of 40% college quota for the faculty members having higher qualification of M.Phil and Ph.D.
Some members also had the view that there should be two Zonal level posts of Principals . One as Zonal Academic Officer and other as Zonal Administrative Officer equivalent to the grade of District Planning Officer(DPO).
Others demands raised include ACP , earned leave and special incentives for the teaching staff of School Education Department engaged in COVID-19 duties, implementation of Transfer Policy, adjustment of Lecturers as per the choices given in Google forms and early release of list of promotion of Senior Lecturers to Principals .
The Forum said Principal Secretary Education Department BK Singh has revolutionized the entire system within a short span of time.
