PLVC confers Rashtriya Pratibha Samman to Kuldeep Kashmiri

NEW DELHI, Apr 9: Kuldeep Kashmiri, president, Thinkers Forum, a socio political activist and writer was conferred with the prestigious ‘Rashtriya Pratibha Samman’ 2025 by the Parvatiya Lok Vikas Samiti (PLVS) on the occasion of its 21st Sthapana Diwas at a function held at New Delhi.
The event was presided over by Retired Lieutenant General A.S. Rawat and attended by a distinguished gathering of intellectuals, writers, journalists, social activists and cultural figures from across the country.
Kashmiri received the award in recognition of his book “Silent Cries”, which poignantly captures the unheard anguish of exiled Kashmiri Pandits and for his unwavering activism in the service of society.
Dr. Surya Prakash Semwal, chief of Parvatiya Lok Vikas Samiti, while speaking at the function, appreciated the literary and social contribution of Kashmiri.
Addressing the audience, Kuldeep Kashmiri spoke about the 36 year long exile of the Kashmiri Pandit community, highlighting their unending pain, displacement and the struggle for dignity and justice. He urged those present to raise the voice of the community in their respective spheres and appealed for national empathy and support.
“The flame of hope is still alive in the hearts of exiled Kashmiri Pandits,” he said. “We look forward to a future where truth and justice prevail”.
Ravinder Koul, another socio-political activist was also honoured and presented a memento on the occasion acknowledging his social service for the cause of displaced Pandits.
