NEW DELHI, Oct 24:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today appreciated Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for taking up the broom and cleaning a street in Srinagar, saying it was a “wonderful effort” which will strengthen the ‘Swachh Bharat’ campaign.
“Wonderful effort by @abdullah_omar ! His efforts towards Swachh Bharat will inspire people of J&K and will strengthen the Mission,” Modi tweeted.
Omar Abdullah had joined Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) officials in cleaning the flood-hit areas of the city as part of the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’. (PTI)
