PM crosses 1 crore subscriber mark on Youtube

NEW DELHI, Feb 1: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has crossed one crore subscriber count on Youtube- the highest among world leaders, it was reported on Tuesday.
With this millstone, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has the largest subscriber count among politicians across the world including US President Joe Biden.
The Youtube channel of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was created in October 2007 when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat.
Besides this channel, the Prime Minister also has an official ‘PMO India’ channel on Youtube which basically publishes his official addresses in government programmes. The PMO India channel has 1.69 Million subscriber base.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has more than 7.5 crore followers on Twitter that makes him one of the most followed active politicians across the globe on the social media platform. US President Joe Biden has 3.23 crore followers on Twitter.
According to BJP national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala, the Youtube follower count of some of the other national leaders is as follows: Rahul Gandhi – 5.25 lakh, Shashi Tharoor – 4.39 lakh, Asaduddin Owaisi – 3.7 lakh, MK Stalin – 2.12 lakh. (AGENCIES)
