NEW DELHI : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today expressed his deep grief on the demise of veteran journalist Cho Ramaswamy and paid him glowing tributes describing him as a towering intellectual. Mr Modi said Ramaswamy was a great nationalist and a fearless voice who was respected and admired by everyone. Mr Modi said, “Cho Ramaswamy was insightful, frank & brilliant. Pained by his demise. Condolences to his family & countless readers of Thuglak”. PM in his tweet said @ Above all, Cho Ramaswamy was a dear friend. I have been to his annual readers meeting which were an unprecedented editor reader interface”. Cho Ramaswamy, eminent political satirist and founder-editor of Tamil magazine ‘Thuglaq’, died here this morning after a prolonged illness. (AGENCIES)
