PM has assets worth Rs 1,00,13,403

NEW DELHI, Sept 22:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi owns assets worth Rs 1,00,13,403, details  filed by him on a Government website shows.
Modi had more cash in hand in financial year 2016-17 amounting to Rs 1.5 lakh against Rs 89,700 in the previous year.
However, while Modi has disclosed his current net worth, only 15 out of the recently expanded 92-strong Council of Ministers have complied with his decision to share details of their assets and  liabilities as a sign of transparency.
Prominent among those who had fulfilled the requirements were Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj,  Prakash Javadekar and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi. The Finance Minister had assets worth Rs 67.62 crore  — up from Rs 60.99 crore last year. He had Rs 64 lakh in four saving accounts besides jewellery worth  Rs 1.29 crore.
Ministerial colleagues Rajnath Singh, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Piyush Goyal, Maneka Gandhi and Smriti Irani are among those who missed the August 31 deadline to file details of their assets.
Ministers are required to provide financial details of their immediate family members, including spouses and offsprings as well.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj put the value of her assets at Rs 5.33 crore, while her HRD colleague Prakash Javadekar assessed the value of his assets at Rs 1.55 crore. (UNI)
