HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the 51st Annual All India Director-Generals of Police conference and had a  a day-long interaction with the top cops at the SVP National Police Academy, here today.

Modi who was all praise for the quality and depth of the discussions during the three-day conference which began yesterday interacted with the top brass to get their feed back on various  issues including internal security.

A host of issues including terrorism, and Maoists activities in the light of the recent demonetisation of high-value currency notes besides drug menace, human trafficking, modernisation of police force and police reforms said to have figured during the diliberations.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Ministers of state for Home Kiren Rijiju and Hansraj Gangaram Ahir  and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval were also present.

Around 100 DGPs of all states and Union Territories,and DGS and IGs of central intelligence agencies are also taking part in the conference which will conclude tomorrow. (AGENCIES)
