JAMMU, Dec 18: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to launch `Ayushman Bharat’ like J&K’s own Universal Health Scheme for all inhabitants virtually on December 25.
Reliable sources said Modi will be launching the scheme virtually from New Delhi on December 25 i.e. three days after the lifting of Model Code of Conduct which is in force in Jammu and Kashmir due to District Development Council (DDC) elections, the process for which will be completed on December 22 when counting will take place.
Under Ayushman Bharat scheme of the Central Government, only selected groups of people are covered while Jammu and Kashmir has given benefit of its own scheme to all residents of the Union Territory, which makes it unique from the country.
