PM Modi, Belgium’s King Philippe discuss terror, India-EU ties

NEW DELHI: India’s fight against terrorism, India-European Union relations, migration and mobility, and trade and investment were among the issues Prime Minister Narendra Modi and King Philippe of Belgium discussed in their talks, the Ministry of External Affairs said today.

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde are on a seven-day visit to India, which comes in the year when both nations are celebrating 70 years of their diplomatic ties and is aimed at deepening their political and economic engagements.

“During the official meeting with the Prime minister, both sides discussed wide ranging bilateral and multilateral issues including India’s historic relations with Belgium, contribution of Indian soldiers in the First World War, Belgium’s support to India at the multilateral fora, India’s fight against terrorism, migration and mobility, trade and Investment, India-EU relations…,” the statement said.
