NEW DELHI : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sanctioned ex gratia of Rs 2 lakh each for next of the kin of persons deceased in landslides in Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF).
Prime Minister also announced Rs 50,000 each to those seriously injured in the calamity, Prime Minster’s Office (PMO) said here today. Incessant rains triggered landslides on Friday and Sunday which buried alive 19 construction workers, mostly from Assam, in the mountainous district Tawang. Roads caved in at several places and at least 30 houses were also swept away. (AGENCIES)
