RAJOURI, Nov 24: Referring to the special attention being given to the Rajouri and Poonch districts of the Pir Panchal range in the recent election rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kishtwar district, former MP and BJP candidate from Rajouri constituency, Talib Hussain, today said that the Modi’s speech itself ‘speaks volumes’ towards the focus of BJP Government in the Centre towards the twin border districts of Pir Panchal range.
Addressing the public gatherings at Sawani and Rajouri city, Talib said that Modi’s speech in his first ever Assembly election rally in Kishtwar showed that the Central Government is fully aware of the complexities being faced by the people for the last more than a decade in the State in general and in the hilly areas of Rajouri and Poonch districts in particular.
He asserted that the previous State and Central Governments had always given step-motherly treatment to these twin districts as a result of which many Centrally sponsored projects, especially the Jammu-Poonch Railway Projects, remained a distant dreams for the people of this region.
“Both the border districts are facing a huge problem of unemployment under the present regime as a result of which no industry, factory or small scale units were established to provide employment avenues to the educated unemployed youths of the districts, Talib said and added that after coming to power in the State, BJP will provide ample employment opportunities for the people through its ‘Digital India’ like initiatives.
