PM to launch Viksit Bharat @ 2047 via video conferencing today

VCs, Directors to join from Jammu with faculty

JAMMU, Dec 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth” via video-conferencing tomorrow during which he will address Vice Chancellors of Universities, heads of Institutes and faculty members in workshops organised at Raj Bhawans across the country, which will symbolise the start of the initiative.
In Jammu, Vice Chancellors of all Universities and Directors of Institutes along with 10 faculty members each will join the conference at Raj Bhawan.
The Prime Minister may interact with some of the Vice Chancellors and Directors through video conferencing.
As per the officials, the Vice Chancellors and Directors of nearly 1000 Universities and Institutes in the country will attend the launch of Viksit Bharat @ 2047.
An official statement said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision is to actively involve the younger generation in the formulation of national plans, priorities and goals for the country.
“In line with this vision, ‘Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth’ initiative will provide a platform to the youth of the country to contribute ideas to the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047,” the statement said, adding that the workshops will be a key step towards initiating the process of engaging youngsters to share their ideas and suggestions for making India a developed country by 2047.
The University and Institute students besides other youth will be asked to give their suggestions through emails for developed India in 2047.
“All such suggestions will be compiled and those found valuable will be incorporated in the Government’s mission to Viksit Bharat @ 2047,” the officials said.
They added that all arrangements have been made in Jammu for the conference of the Prime Minister to be attended by the Vice Chancellors of Universities and Directors of Institutes along with faculty members at the Raj Bhawan.
