SAMBA, Jan 28: The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) has reached over 300 rural women and youth in Ramgarh, Jammu & Kashmir, through the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
As per a statement, the initiative (PM Vishwakarma Scheme) aims to boost the economic development of rural areas, reduce unemployment, and address poverty and migration issues.
Dr Navneet Kaur, a renowned social reformer and MSME resource person in J&K, led the awareness campaign, highlighting the importance of MSME development in uplifting rural communities.
She emphasized how the PM Vishwakarma Scheme can generate employment with low capital investment and improve the quality of life in rural border areas.
Dr Kaur also stressed that MSMEs are crucial in reducing regional disparities and promoting self-reliance.
Rajesh Kumar, Assistant Director, Ministry of MSME, presented a detailed report on the scheme, focusing on how it taps into India’s abundant human resources to reduce regional imbalances.
Devinder Singh Tyagi, Assistant Director, Ministry of MSME, concluded the campaign by urging the community to embrace the scheme for self-dependency and employment generation.
DDC Samba, S Sarabjeet Singh, emphasized the potential of rural entrepreneurship to support women and youth, ensuring they register for the scheme.
Chief Guest, Vikas Gupta, DIG, Anti-Corruption Bureau, highlighted the importance of rural development and MSME schemes in empowering India’s population, particularly in rural areas.
The event was coordinated by DDC Sarbjit Singh Johl, Dr Navneet Kaur, and supported by local leaders, including Corporator Sudesh Kumari and others.
