Attaining excellence in Public Administration by dint of dedicated efforts especially working towards addressing public problems and grievances can get duly recognised and suitably noted to merit a bureaucrat getting an award . Prime Minister Narendra Modi accordingly conferred such awards to 5 IAS officers , four from the Jammu and Kashmir and one from the UT of Ladakh. Such awards having been constituted is to recognise , encourage and suitably reward those having performed at a level of above the average category in public administration and is usually conferred on the eligible on National Services Day. We congratulate the recipients of the award and wish all others to get motivated with it so that delivery system of governance get a fillip and a culture of working to the benefit of the common citizens with speed, ease , more of digitization and accuracy becomes the norm . It also means a mindset commensurate with the aspirations of the people with no red- tape and avoidable delays.
