PNB celebrates 121st Foundation Day

JAMMU, Apr 11: 121st Foundation Day of Punjab National Bank (PNB) was celebrated by organizing different functions at its branches all over the State.
The main function was organized at its Gandhi Nagar and Jammu Tawi branch which was marked by a customer meet inaugurated by BM Fazili, Deputy General Manager (DGM), PNB, Circle office Jammu who was accompanied by BM Panwar and Rajendra Singh, both chief manager, Circle Office Jammu and RVS Jasrotia, chief manager, BO Gandhi Nagar.
Speaking on the occasion, Fazili said it is a momentous and emotional day for the entire PNB family as we celebrate the Bank’s 121st Foundation Day. PNB was born out of patriotic fervour  in 1895 at Lahore on the Baisakhi day by dedicated persons who had vision of a bank owned by Indians, managed by Indians and served by the Indians.
He added that with 120 years of strong existence and 6657 total branches including 5 foreign branches, PNB is serving more than 9 crore esteemed customers. PNB, being one of the largest nationalized banks, has continued to provide prudent and trustworthy banking services to its customers and the Bank enjoys strong fundamentals, large franchise value and good brand image.
To mark its Foundation Day, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity, Bank distributed stationery items including note books, pencils, erasers, etc at Government Middle School Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Earlier in the day, BM Fazili, DGM accompanied by Satish Sawhney, chief manager BO Gangyal inaugurated another customer meet at its Gangyal branch. The day was also celebrated at BO Rehari Chungi, Channi Himmat, Amira Kadal, Kathua and Nagrota with the commitment to provide best banking services to the people.
