PNB distributes KCC

HIRANAGAR, July 24: Punjab National Bank (PNB) today organized Kissan Credit Card (KCC) disbursement function, here.
On the occasion, RVS Jasrotia, Chief Manager, Circle Office Jammu was the chief guest, who distributed 103 KCC to the farmers involving a credit outlay of Rs 87 lakh in the function.
The function was organized in coordination with Agriculture Department in which farmers of villages Gurha Mundian and Sube Chak participated.
RVS Jasrotia in his speech said that KCC scheme will be beneficial to the farmers for boosting their agriculture activities and help them in meeting timely short term credit requirements for cultivation of crops, post harvest expenses and profitable marketing of their produce.
Jasrotia further said that KCC happens to be cheapest and affordable as the effective interest rate for a regular repaying borrower comes down to as low as 4 per cent per annum.
Jitendra Khajuria, AEO, Department of Agriculture urged the farmers to avail the maximum benefits of the KCC scheme so that their economic conditions could improve.
Among others present were Desraj Sharma and Bhola Nath Sharma, Sarpanchs, Suresh Kumar, SS Chib, District Coordinator PNB, Ramesh Rewoo, Manager Hiranagar, Manoj Kumar, Manager Agriculture and Pradeep Atkan, Agriculture Officer of Bank and large number of beneficiaries and staff members of the Bank.
