PNB distributes over 80 KCCs among beneficiaries

JAMMU, Apr 26: Punjab National Bank (PNB) today organized Kissan Credit Card (KCC) disbursement function at Akhnoor.
The function was inaugurated by Mohd Latif Mir, Deputy General Manager (DGM), Circle Head J&K.
Over 80 KCC were distributed to the farmers in the function which was organized in coordination with Agriculture Department. Farmers of villages Gharkhal, Rakh Khroon and Payan participated in the function.
Mohd Latif Mir, while speaking gave broader outline of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) Scheme aiming at providing adequate and timely support from the banking system to the farmers for their short-term credit needs.
He added that the scheme will be beneficial to the farmers for boosting their agriculture activities and help them in meeting timely short term credit requirements for cultivation of crops, post harvest expenses and profitable marketing of their produce.
Mir informed the farmers that with these KCC, they can withdraw money from nearby ATMs as these KCCs are ATM enabled.
AK Mota, Chief Manager, Circle Office, SS Chib, District Coordinator, PNB, Sanjay Koul,  senior Manager Akhnoor branch, Rakesh Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Managers Agriculture branch of the bank,  AEO Akhnoor VK Chandan, JEO Anil Anand of Agriculture Department and large number of beneficiaries were also present.
