JAMMU, Oct 18: An awareness camp on financial literacy was organized by Punjab National Bank (PNB) Branch Bishnah at village Tara Chak, Block Bishnah.
A large number of farmers, women and ex-servicemen of the village took part in the camp. They were made aware about various schemes like Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), PMSBY, PMJJBY and PM Atal Pension Yojana by Kali Dass, Financial Literacy Counsellor, PNB.
Arun Jaral, JAEO from the Department of Agriculture, addressed the farming community regarding Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Sinchai Yojana. Moreover, the use of organic manure, fertilizers and pesticides was also explained in detail to boost the agriculture production.
Training was also imparted to women participants and unemployed youth for the cultivation of Mushroom and bee keeping. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Aniket Bhosle, Branch Head.
