JAMMU, May 22: Punjab National Bank, Business Unit Domana, today organized a financial awareness and literacy camp at Village Kangarial, Dayaran Jammu.
A large number of people of the area participated in the camp, which was a part of ongoing campaign of spreading awareness by PNB with the assistance of NABARD among people of unbanked and backward areas.
Arun Gupta, Senior Manager, PNB Domana, in his address gave detailed information of various deposits and loan schemes of the bank such as Krishi Card, MUDRA Loans, Agriculture loans, Stand Up India, etc.
Gupta explained the benefits of financial inclusion schemes launched by Government of India like Jan Dhan Yojna, PMJJBY, PMSBY, Atal Pension Yojna, etc. He also made them aware about the different facilities which are available in the bank besides banking products and requested them to take full benefit of such products.
He also explained the benefits of Digital Banking, Cashless Banking and motivated the public to make cashless banking a part of their life.
Kali Dass, Financial Literacy Counselor, gave brief description of various ongoing schemes of Government of India. He also replied to queries of public regarding these schemes.
Arun Jaral, JAEO Agriculture Department, Mishriwala gave a detailed knowledge of recently launched Fasal Bima Yojna. Jaral explained the benefits of KCC, Farmers Club Programme besides different agriculture activities under State and Central sponsored schemes.
Rajesh Verma, Agriculture Officer, Mishriwala, also addressed the gathering and urged the general public to take benefit of such schemes to uplift their standard of life by getting extra source of income. He explained the benefits of bank finance and urged the people to link themselves more with banks for various Agricultural schemes.
