PNB starts registration of Amarnath pilgrims

JAMMU, Mar 1: Punjab National Bank (PNB) today opened the registration for Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2017 in 306 designated branch offices of Bank at Pan India level. The registration process was inaugurated by Bikram Singh Raina, Circle Head, PNB J&K Circle at Bo Rehari Chowk here today.
Raina informed that the Bank had participated in the registration process in 2012 as one of the five participating Banks and since then, it is conducting registration through its designated branches across India. This year, PNB is conducting registration in 306 designated branches out of total of 433 branches allotted to three Banks by Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, (SASB) he added.
He further informed that registration of Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) pilgrims is assigned to PNB only and last year Bank recorded a registration of 1.75 lakhs domestic and more than 100 NRI pilgrims. Bank is undertaking registration process as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, he added.
