PNDT demands Bharat Rattan for Late Pt. Prem Nath Dogra

JAMMU, July 23: For his struggle and the efforts done by Pt. Prem Nath Dogra, for providing political empowerment to Jammu region, Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Trust (PNDT) today demanded Bharat Rattan for Pandit Ji.
In this regard a meeting organised by PNDT was held here today.
The meeting was presided over by Prof Nirmal Singh (ex-Dy Chief Minister) and Chaired by Parshotam Dadhichi, Chairman of the Trust.
During the meeting, it was resolved unanimously that Government be approached for declaring holiday on Pandit Ji’s birthday, for establishing a chair in Jammu University in the name of Pandit Prem Nath Dogra and also to process the case for Bharat Rattan award to Pandit ji.
Further the state administration was asked to implement its resolution, which was adopted in State Assembly to rename mini stadium parade as Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Stadium and also to allocate special budget for the development of Smailpur the birthplace of Pandit ji.
The meeting was attended by many social activists included Chander Mohan Sharma, advocate (Tawi Andolan) Er. Dayasagar, renowned Columnist, Suresh Chander Sharma, Retired District and session judge, Prof. Kul Bhushan Mahotra, MD Nanaji Deshmukh library, Professor Ajeet Angral Retd. Principal, Arun Gupta, President Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Thakur Narayan Singh ex President Amar Khatriya Rajput Sabha, Adv. Purnima Sharma Eex-Deputy Mayor, Pramod Kapahi District President BJP and Rajendra Sharma ex-Mayor.
The function was conducted by Aseem Gupta, Trustee.
