JAMMU, Feb 27: Talented Writers Forum in collaboration with J&K Religious Tourism, Culture and Heritage organised a literary function at K.L Saigal Hall in which a poetry book titled ‘Faasley’ written by Star Singh was released.
Sanjeev Verma, Commissioner Secretary J&K Govt was the chief guest on this occasion while Shalinder Singh, SSP Railways Jammu and former Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria were guests of honour.
Rajesh Bittu, chairman J&K Religious Tourism, Culture and Heritage presided over the function and Baljit Singh Raina, president Punjabi Lekhak Sabha along with the poet Star Singh were also present on the dais.
Many literary persons like Dr. Javed Rahi, Dr. Nirmal Vinod, Ashok Paras, Jasvinder Singh Kuku and others were also present on the occasion.
Welcome address was delivered by Star Singh while Dr. Deepak Pathania presented papers on the released book ‘Faasley’.
Dr. Pathania said that the book contains 79 Gazals and 10 poems covering various themes and issues highlighting day-to-day issues of the society.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest and other guests lauded the book for ideas and emotions expressed through poetry.
Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Majed Rashid while the vote of thanks was extended by Star Singh.
