JAMMU, Nov 26: Public Opinion Forum (POF), a social and non-political organisation, today held detailed interaction on various issues and developments taking place in J&K, with the former Member Legislative Council (MLC), Vikramaditya Singh, here this afternoon.
After holding deliberations on prevailing scenario in the State, members of the Forum and the visiting guest involved into a very useful question answer session so as to look into the possibilities to bring in peace and balanced development in the disturbed State.
Vikramaditya Singh, grandson of last Dogra ruler Maharaja Hari Singh, stressed on the need of unity among different social, religious and political organizations for the common cause.  He had special mention of the Centre’s role in providing justice to Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions considering the aspirations of the people.
Earlier, soon after introducing the guest to the members, president of the Forum, Parveen Sharma raised issues effecting the unity and integrity among all the three regions of the State.
Senior member of POF, Prof Varinder Gupta explained in length the causes that plagued the State’s holistic development during all these years of its accession with Indian Union.
Retired Chief Engineer and social activist, Madan Dogra highlighted the discriminatory attitude of the successive Governments with regard to equitable development of Jammu and Kashmir.
Among others, who took part in the interaction, included Dr Satya Dev Gupta, Nathu Ram Gupta, Subash Sharma, Ravi Kant, Rahul Sharma, Brinder Partap Singh, Kapil Sharma, Devinder Singh Jamwal, Pawan Sharma and Sanjeev Sharma.
