‘Return of KPs’ Modi Govt’s agenda’

JAMMU, Sept 13: Maintaining that PoJK is integral part of India which is under forcible occupation of Pakistan, BJP national general secretary and MP, Duyshant Kumar Gautam said that India is committed to free it from clutches of the neighbouring country.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a party programme here today, the BJP national general secretary said that nation is committed to retrueve PoJK which is an integral part of India. In this regard, he referred to joint Parliament resolution of 1994.
The BJP leader also reiterated his party’s commitment on the honourable and dignified rehabilitation of displaced Kashmiri Pandits back in the Valley. “BJP as well as Modi Government are committed to dignified and honorable rehabilitation of displaced Kashmiri Pandits in tge Valley. This is a part of Modi Government’s agenda’’, he added.
Gautam said that nationalist people in J&K especially in Kashmir suffered a lot over three decade long turmoil and party is full abreast of their problems and sufferings. “Our all efforts are to strengthen the nationalist forces in Kashmir and we will not let them down at any cost,’’ he added.
“BJP wants that Kashmiri Pandits should be settled in Valley and in this regard effective steps are being taken by the Government, he said, adding the militancy has been weeded out and the remaining militants are also being chased by the security force and police to finish’’.
Gautam also favoured a thorough probe into the killings by militants in Kashmir since 1989 and punishment to culprits. “A thorough probe be made into the killings by militants since 1989 and the culprits responsible be punished under the law of land,’’ he added.
He said Modi Government is committed to crush the militants and weed out terrorism from Kashmir which has eaten up vitals of society over last three decades. Terming the Rajouri encounter as desperation on the part of Pakistan and militants, he said the security forces and police are alert and vigilant now and they are firm in crushing the militancy.
On the formation of INDIA Alliance, he said it can’t cut much ice as its leaders are fighting among themselves. The Alliance is totally directionless and it has no takers as the Alliance has no concrete programme and policy except one point agenda against Narendra Modi Government. This is not going to work as people of country are solidly behind PM Modi for his visionary policies and dynamic leadership, he added.
Earlier the BJP leader held a meeting with senior functionaries of the party at its Headquarters at Trikuta Nagar here in which the prevailing political situation was discussed threadbare.
The meeting, which was attended by senior party functionaries, Morcha incharges, conveners and co conveners, former legislators and district presidents held a threadbare discussion on the upcoming Panchayat and Local Bodies elections in the UT.
The meeting also discussed the organizational matters and Dushyant Gautam urged the party leaders of the UT to rededicate themselves in strengthening the organization further to ensure landslide victory in the Panchayat, ULB and Lok Sabha elections.
The meeting also announced election incharges for Panchayat and Municipal Zones in the UT. The party has decided to observe ‘Sewa Pakhwda’ from September 17, the birthday of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi up to October 2 – the Gandhi Jayanti during which the party leaders will visit length and breadth of the UT to highlight the welfare programmes of Modi Government.
The meeting among others was attended by BJP UT president, Ravinder Raina, party general secretary (Org) Ashok Koul, general secretary, Dr D K Manyal , MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Deputy CMs , Dr Nirmal Singh and Kavinder Gupta, former MP, Rajya Sabha, Shamsher Singh Manhas and former Minister, Sat Sharma besides others.
