He stated that the Wadhwa Committee constituted by the State Government in 2007 has recommended Rs 16 lakh for each family uprooted from PoJK refugees and Chhamb area for their property left behind.
Chib said that there is no mention of those families who were paid Rs 3,500 as loan and a sum of Rs 1,000 was deducted from the above mentioned amount as interest. They deserve full compensation as recommended by the State Cabinet for their final settlement, he added.
“The urban refugees were provided seven marla plot and Rs 3,500 as their final settlement package”, he said, adding that they were not provided any assistance for carrying out their business and hence they must be considered for additional amount of assistance for starting their business.

“State Cabinet has recommended reservation of employment for the PoJK refugees in Army, BSF and CRPF and by doing this NC led Government smacks of deep rooted conspiracy against these refugees to oust them from the Jammu and Kashmir”, he added.
“The reservation quota for Gujjar, Bakerwals, SC, ST, OBC and Pahari speaking areas has been granted in the State employment and professional colleges as well as in the assembly of the State”, he said.

The front appealed to all the PoJK refugees of State to remain united to fight against their enemies and to remove them from the helm of affairs in the ensuing assembly elections.
