Apropos to the news item “POJK refugees relief” March 7, 2022 has been appreciated by one and all for having made a case of DPs of 1947 for relief in right perspective. Putting facts in right form at proper time is something for which every member of DPs of 1947 feels indebted and express gratitude.
MJR-47 (Movement for Justice for Refugees of 1947) who have all along been pursuing the case of 1947 DPs feel that it is a great action well timed. This will certainly have an impact as elaborated therein in this column which are based on facts and was ignored resulting in suffering of DPs all these years.
Successive Governments have always ill treated this class despite being saviour of the state in tribal raid of 1947. DPs have always been neglected/ignored despite clear recommendations from the State Government and Parliamentary panel on Home Affairs for relief.
This action will produce results and POJK DPs will feel relieved.
