JAMMU, May 5: The Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (PoJKLF) under the leadership of Pritam Lal Sharma Convener – PoJKLF, Vijay Sharma & Vikas Sharma co-conveners of the Front today held series of meetings at Bhour Camp, Railway line, Bagga Marh areas of R S Pura to mobilise displaced community for the May 8 event at Padamshri Padma Sachdeva PG College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu wherein tributes will be paid to the thousands of martyrs of PoJK killed while fighting with the Pakistani invaders.
Addressing a public gathering at Bhour Camp, Pritam Lal Sharma said that the May 8th event is a momentous one for the displaced community as the event will recall the sacrifices of displaced community including PoJK refugees, West Pakistan refugees, and Chhamb refugees of the 1965 and 1971 Indo-Pak wars.
He urged the members of the displaced community for en-masse participation in the event on May 8 wherein tributes will be paid to the thousands of martyrs of PoJK killed at the hands of Pakistani invaders.
Speaking on the occasion Bharat Bhushan urged DPs to ensure mass participation in the May 8th event. “It is a historic event for us to pay tributes to those martyrs and remind our younger generation about areas of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir which have been illegally occupied by Pakistan since 1947,” he said.
Another public gathering was organized by Vinay Sharma at Railway Line -Patri wherein members of the PoJK refugee community participated.
Speaking on this occasion Devinder Sharma member PoJK Visthapit Sewa Samiti emphasized the need of educating the younger generation about the history of the areas of the erstwhile princely state of Jammu and Kashmir, which have been illegally occupied by Pakistan since 1947.
“It is our duty to teach our younger generation about their roots and the degree of atrocities our forefathers faced on the fateful night of 22nd of October, 1947,” he said.
Prominent among those present in these meetings include Netar Parkash Khajuria, Pitambar Sharma, Capt (Retd) Kundan Lal Sharma, Rakesh Khajuria, Ex- Sarpanch Vinod Sharma, Sarpanch Badrinath and others.
