NEW DELHI, Fe 22: Jammu Kashmir People’s Forum organised “Sankalp Divas’ coinciding with date of passing a resolution in 1994 by Indian Parliament on PoK. The day commerates and coincides with 22nd February 1994 when a unanimious resolution was passed in the Parliament to declare PoK part of Indian Union.
Addressing a gathering of displaced people of PoJK at Mirpur Balidan Bhawan in Lajpat Nagar New Delhi, former Union Minister and Rajya Sabha MP, Dr. Satya Narayan Jetia said that PoK is not only the matter of Kashmiris , but whole India and the occupied part be declared Illegal and now onwards called Pakistan Occupied Bharat.
Speaking on the occasion Ravinder Pandita Head of Save Sharda Committee Kashmir laid emphasis on preservation of culture & religious places across LoC. He demanded reopening of Sharda Peeth on the lines of Kartarpur corridor.
Suresh Ratan, a noted journalist said a national register of PoJK persons be framed throughout globe to claim the right of identity. The function was presided over by the convener of JK Peoples Forum Mahinder Mehta. A large number of people from all walks of life attended the event. The Function concluded by reciting Vande Mataram.
