JAMMU, Aug 9: PoK displaced persons staged protest here today and demanded package.
The protest was led by Chairman of SOS International, Rajiv Chuni and participated by PoK displaced persons including JS Mangal, Lalit Kumar, Roshan Lal, Virinder Khajuria, HL Sabharwal, NS Gupta, Roshan Malhotra, Sanjay Kohli, Subash Suri, Abhimanyu, Bhai Ram Singh and others.
The protesters raised slogans against the hostile policies of Union and State Governments over the delay in resolution of package.
While addressing the gathering, Rajiv Chuni warned Government of grave consequences for its callous attitude towards PoK DPs. He added that SOS International will take the struggle to roads as this Government has totally become dumb and deaf towards the plights of PoK DPs.
He added that BJP is having its Government in J&K and Centre so there should not be any obstacle in taking the final call regarding the package for PoK DPs. Step-motherly approach towards PoK DPs is forcing SOS International to launch decisive struggle against Modi Government, he stated.
“SOS International has established its units in whole Jammu region and various parts of the country to make further strategy to launch nationwide agitation. All the units at various locations are working day and night to unite all PoK DPs under the banner of SOS International. PoK DPs will pressurize the Government to implement the package” he added.
“PoK DPs youth are living miserable lives only due to cruel attitude of the Government. Government must reserve seats for youths in National and State Degree Colleges so that PoK DPs youths don’t suffer any further”, he said.
“Government should implement the package without any further delay otherwise PoK DPs will launch nationwide agitation”, Chuni warned.
