PoK Refugees Rights & Rehabilitation Forum floated

JAMMU, June 7:  A group of young lawyers and educated youth belonging to refugee community from Poonch to Kathua today floated a new organization for safeguarding the interests of  displaced people from Pak occupied Kashmir.
Christened as PoK Refugees Rights and Rehabilitation Forum, the new body has vouched for one time settlement of the refugees, reservation in professional colleges and Government jobs, re-opening the traditional routes of Nowshera-Mirpur and R S Pura-Sialkot.
While announcing the new body during a press conference, here today,  Vijay Sharma, Advocate Ashish Sharma, Advocate Ashwani Sharma, Advocate Nitin Sharma, Advocate Ajit Verma and Advocate Tahir appealed all the refugee organizations to come under one banner and fight for the humanitarian cause of the displaced community.
The Forum leaders alleged that some vested interests among the refugees, who align  with different political parties depending upon the circumstances and opportunities, were responsible for plights of  the community.
A delegation, led by Ramesh Bali from Uri also addressed the conference.
