POONCH, Apr 21: The traders from PoK returned 13 trucks loaded with banana over some dispute at Chakkan-da-Bagh cross LoC point in district Poonch today.
Official sources said that total 25 trucks loaded with fruits and chilies were sent to other side of the LoC by the traders from Poonch and Jammu today via Chakka-da-Bagh. Out of these 25, 13 trucks loaded with bananas were sent back from that side. Ten trucks loaded with almonds, herbs and apples arrived here from PoK side.
Over this development, the traders from this side were stunned. Then a group of traders led by Pawan Anand, president cross LoC Traders Association reached at the LoC point. They held talks with the TFOs on both the sides and also took up the matter with DC Poonch. It was told that there was some dispute over the settlement of accounts and for this the traders on both the sides would sit together at the LoC point and then settle the issue tomorrow.
TFO India side Ashraf Choudhary said that DC Poonch and other officials on both the sides are expected to sit together to resolve the issue of new trades inducted and other matter of dispute.
