PoK visitor detained at Army camp

MENDHAR, Jan 11: A visitor from  Pak occupied Kashmir (PoK) was detained for over three hours in Balakote area at an Army camp this afternoon.
The incident took place when Mohd Rafiq Khan, son of Attah Mohd, resident of  PoK along with his brother Mohd Sadiq Khan (Head Constable in J&K Police)  and his family had gone to Mendhar town for shopping and  returning home. When they reached near Army check point, the soldiers asked for identity. The PoK resident  was detained for want of necessary documents. The Police personnel argued with the Army men and he too was later detained. The family later contacted SDM Mendhar Romesh Kumar and lodged their  protest. With the  intervention of SDM, they were released after  three hours. The matter was aken up with the Dy Commissioner later.
