Moscow, Dec 22 : Poland and Ukraine have opened a new border crossing, the Polish government said on Sunday.
“On December 21, the opening ceremony of the new Malhowice-Nizankowice automobile border crossing with Ukraine took place,” the government said in a statement.
The crossing is intended for international passenger traffic, specifically for passenger cars weighing up to 3.5 tonnes and buses, the statement said.
Passport and customs checks will be conducted at the border crossing around the clock, except for sanitary, veterinary and phytosanitary controls, according to the statement.
There are currently 14 border crossing points operating at the Polish-Ukrainian border.
