Police arrest 3 fraudsters in Kreeri

SRINAGAR, July 13: Police in Baramulla today apprehended three individuals involved in cheating innocent residents by promising Government jobs, selling and purchasing vehicles.
As per authorities, preliminary investigation revealed that gang’s modus operandi involved cheating people under the pretext of selling and purchasing vehicles and promising government jobs in reputable institutions like Banks and government Departments.
Acting swiftly, police said, a case vide FIR No. 100/24 U/S 318(4) BNS was registered at Police Station Kreeri.
Subsequently, three accused persons identified as Mudasir Ahmad Mir, son of Ghulam Ahmad Mir, resident of Thindma, Firdosue Ahmad Mir alias Sameer Khan, son of Ab Aziz, resident of Mughalpora Tangmarg, currently residing in Chanpora, Srinagar and Syed Akther, son of Ab Rasheed, resident of Sonlipora Tanmarg have been arrested and taken into custody.
While further investigation is underway, police noted that more arrests are expected as the probe progresses and more evidence is gathered.
