Police Arrest A Person Who Attacked Student With Sharp Object In Ganderbal

SRINAGAR, Sept 22: Police on Thursday arrested a person who attacked a student with a sharp- edged weapon during a scuffle and fled from the scene in Jammu Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Police said on Friday said a scuffle broke out between two persons at Qamariya Park in Ganderbal wherein Mohammad Irfan, a student resident of Saloora Ganderbal was attacked with a sharp Object/Thread Cutter resulting in injuries on his back.
Soon after the incident, the injured was shifted to District Hospital Ganderbal for treatment.
Police said during preliminary investigation, it came to surface that one person namely Abrar Ahmad Parray of Rangil Nagbal has attacked the victim with a sharp object, got him injured and fled away from the spot.
Police constituted a team who arrested the accused after strenuous efforts at Nagbal Chowk near the Petrol Pump.
During further investigation, Police came to know that the scuffle had taken place between the duo over a love affair relationship with the same girl.
Police registered a case under relevant sections of the law in Police Station Ganderbal. (Agencies)
