SAMBA, Oct 9: Under the guidance of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, police have arrested ten criminals for assaulting women in the jurisdiction of PS Samba, PS Bari Brahmana and PS Purmandal.
Police said four cases relating to assaults on women including attempt to murder and assault viz FIR No.238/2023 U/S 307 IPC of PS Samba, FIR No. 143/2020 U/S 452, 354-B, 504, 506, 34 IPC of PS Samba, FIR No.229/2023 U/S 147, 451, 323, 504, 506 IPC of PS Bari Brahmana and FIR No.11/2023 U/S 147, 336, 323, 504, 506 IPC of PS Purmandal have been solved by police and investigation is underway.
The arrested accused have been identified as Latif Mohammad, son of Allah Rakha of Talote Samba, Manzoor Ahmed son of Allah Rakha of Talote Samba, Miyan son of Abbi of Badheri Samba, Saroj Kumar, son of Ram Dass of Uttar Pradesh, Lalu son of Avideh of Uttar Pradesh, Yougeshwar Kumar, son of Udhay Bhan of Uttar Pradesh and four others.
Three criminals have been arrested by Police team headed by SHO PS Samba, Daljit Singh and in charge PP Supwal, ASI Balbir Kumar — one criminal in attempt to murder case FIR No.238/2023 in which one woman sustained severe head injuries and two criminals in case FIR No.143/2020 in which one woman was assaulted after criminal trespass. Five criminals have been arrested by Police team headed by SHO, PS Bari Brahmana, Sumit Sharma in case FIR No.229/2023 in which one woman received serious injuries due to physical assault and two criminals have been arrested by Police team headed by SHO, PS Purmandal, Vijay Verma in case FIR No.11/2023 in which one woman sustained severe head injuries & hospitalized.
The criminals were arrested under the supervision of DySP Garu Ram, SDPO, Bari Brahmana, Rahul Nagar and Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary.
On the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh, total 128 criminals have been arrested in nine months in different cases of murder, rape, attempt to murder, assaults etc. and Samba police is playing pro-active role by taking strong action against criminals in Samba district.
