Police arrests 2 drug peddlers, seizes 140 grams of heroin

SAMBA, Dec, 22: District Police Samba under the overall supervision of SSP, Dr. Abhishek Mahajan, has arrested two drug peddlers and recovered about 140 grams of heroin (Chitta) like substance from their possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Ghagwal.
A police party of Police Post (PP) Rajpura led by incharge PP, Sub Inspector, Mohammad Aslam under the supervision of SHO Ghagwal, Inspector, Vijay Verma and Dy.SP Headquarters Samba, Mohammad Usman during vehicle checking at Naka Point PP Rajpura intercepted a car bearing Registration Number DL9CX/1732 for checking.
During checking, approximately 140 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from the possession of both the accused persons which was wrapped in black colour polythene.
The accused Identified as Moj Ali, son of Saif Ali of Gurdaspur Punjab and Maam Hussian, son of Jamal Din of Mukerian district Gurdaspur Punjab have been arrested on the spot and the contraband item along with vehicle has also been seized.
In this regard, a case FIR No 178/2022 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station, Ghagwal and investigation started.
