Police arrests 3 culprits, including rape accused, heroin peddler

SAMBA, Dec 9: Under the overall supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh, police has arrested three culprits including a rape accused, a drug peddler with heroin worth Rs 22000.00 approximately and another accused of causing death of a woman due to negligent driving.
The arrested persons have been identified as Shambu Ram, son of Bittu Ram of Bazigar Basti Swankhamorh Vijaypur, Dharminder Singh, son of Baldev Raj of Bashat tehsil, Chanani district Udhampur and Dhuni Chand, son of Sant Ram of Udhampur.
Shambu Ram is a rape accused and has been arrested in case FIR No.174/2023 U/S 376, 452, 323 IPC registered at Police Station, Vijaypur on the written complaint of a woman.
Dharminder Singh has been arrested near infamous ‘Chitta’ hotspot of Sarore, Bari Brahmana possessing heroin valuing rupees twenty two thousand approximately in case FIR No.273 U/S 8/21/22/27-A/29 NDPS Act.
Dhunichand is accused of causing death of a woman by negligent driving.
The arrests have been made by police teams comprising by SHO PS Vijaypur, Sandeep Charak, SHO PS, Bari Brahmana, Sumit Sharma and PSI Nirmal Singh under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar, SDPO, Bari Brahmana, Rahul Nagar and Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary.
On the directions of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, Samba Police are making all out efforts to arrest all accused involved in heinous crimes and bringing all cases to logical conclusion on merits without inordinate delay.
