Police arrests 3 drug peddlers, recovers 11.6 grams of heroin

KATHUA, May 18: Kathua police has nabbed three drug peddlers with 11.6 grams of heroin today.
A special naka was laid by Kathua Police at Kullian road near here and  three persons were intercepted on scooter bearing registration No PB 35-C -6369 and during their personal search recovered 11.6 grams of heroin from their possession.
The special naka was laid on the directives of SSP Kathua Neeva Jain. The three drug peddlers were identified as Shubum Kumar son of Rakesh Kumar Mehra of Ward No 11 Kathua, Rahul Kumar  son of Gorkha Chand Mehra also of Ward no 11 Kathua and Sahil Sharma son of Varinder Sharma of Ward Number 4 Krishna Colony Kathua.
While 3.4 grams of heroin were recovered from possession of Shubam by police, 5.7 grams were recovered from possession  of Rahul and 2.5 grams from possession of Varinder.
The Kathua Police has registered a case FIR No 203/2016 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act against them.
