Samba, Dec 15: Samba police has apprehended three gamblers red-handed under Gambling Act in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Samba and recovered huge stake money to the tune of Rs 28610 and four costly mobile phones from their possession.
Police said the arrested gamblers have been identified as Balbir Kumar, Jhony Kumar and Akash all residents of Samba. Legal action under Section 13 of Gambling Act has been taken by police against them.
Police said acting on specific information regarding gambling, a team of Police Station Samba raided the gambling spot near Sports Stadium Samba and apprehended three gamblers while gambling along with stake money of Rs 28610 and four mobile phones.
Samba police is playing proactive role in the entire district and apprehending wrongdoers under law.
