SAMBA, Dec 2: District Police Samba has arrested a truck driver at naka Balole bridge, Bari Brahmana in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana and recovered a country made pistol from his possession.
A Police Party of P/S Bari Brahmana headed by its SHO Inspector, Rajesh Jasrotia under the supervision of SDPO, Bari Brahmana, Sunil Kesar while performing vehicle checking duty at naka Balole bridge, Bari Brahmana intercepted a truck bearing registration No. HP72A-0206, which was on way to Srinagar. During frisking of the truck driver, a country made pistol was recovered from his possession.
The driver has been identified as Parveen Singh, S/o Gandharv Singh R/O Daber Kotha, Nowshera, Rajouri. He was arrested on the spot and weapon was also seized.
In this regard a case FIR No. 208/2019 U/S 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at P/S Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
