SRINAGAR, July 3: Police today claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 450 grams of charas that was being transported by him in a Sumo at Mattan in Anantnag district on Wednesday evening.
A police spokesman said on a tip off, Mattan Police laid a naka checking at Paibugh on K.P Road and intercepted a Sumo JK03D-041. “Upon its search police recovered 450 grams charas from the possession of the driver of the vehicle Mohammad Afroz Bhat son of Ghulam Hassan Bhat of Kheribal Mattan,” the spokesman said, adding, a case has been registered.
