KATHUA, Jan 5: Kathua police under the guidance of SSP, R C Kotwal, today seized approximately 16 grams of heroin at Challari near Challan Ramkot area and arrested one drug peddler.
Police said today a team led by Sub Inspector, Sanjeet Singh incharge Police Post (PP) Ramkot under the supervision of SDPO Billawar, Arvind Kumar during Naka checking in its jurisdictional area at Chillari near Challan Ramkot apprehended one suspicious person namely Lal Din alias Lalu, son of Sher Ali of Handa Chak tehsil Marheen and district Kathua who was wandering under suspicious circumstances. On thorough checking approximately 16 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like narcotics was recovered from his illegal possession. Thereafter all the recovered narcotics was seized and the drug peddler was arrested. An instant case vide FIR No. 01/2023 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station (PS) Billawar and further investigation is underway.
