KATHUA, Dec 12: Intensifying its action against drug menace within the district, Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP, R C Kotwal today recovered 64 capsules of SPM-PRX intoxicating drug in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Kathua and arrested one person involved in drug trafficking.
Police said a team of PS Kathua led by PSI, Riaz Ahmed under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua, Shammi Kumar during patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area noticed one suspected person namely Sanga Ram, son of Girdhari Lal of Ward Number 11 Kathua who was enrouted from Kathua towards Berrian Pattan (near Choti Nehar) was asked to stop for checking. On physical checking, one black polythene containing 64 capsules of SPM-PRX were recovered from his possession. He was arrested by the police party and capsules were seized. In this connection, a case vide FIR No. 518/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act got registered at P/S Kathua and further investigation was taken up.
