KATHUA, Aug 8: In continuation to its “war on drugs” Kathua police under the overall supervision of SSP, R C Kotwal- today nabbed one drug peddler with four grams of heroin like contraband and seized one vehicle.
Police said today a team led by SHO Police Station Kathua, Inspector, Om Parkash Chib under the supervision of Dy SP Headquarters Kathua, Shammi Kumar during naka /checking duty at Bhagthali noticed one suspicious vehicle (motorcycle) which was enrouted from Keerian towards Jarai Kathua bearing Chassis Number MBLHAW116LHG19463 and Engine Number HAIIEVLHG86910. On thorough checking approximately four grams of Heroin like contraband was recovered from the possession of accused namely Maskeen Ali, son of Jung Ali of Maqsoorpur tehsil and district Kathua.
The recovered material along with one motorcycle was seized and person involved was arrested. A case vide FIR No. 368/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Kathua and further investigation into the case has been started.
