SAMBA, Dec 3: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers/peddlers, police has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Vijaypur district Samba and recovered 3.20 grams of heroin from his possession.
A police party of Police Station (PS) Vijaypur headed by SHO PS Vijaypur during vehicle checking at NHW Naka AIIMS Vijaypur, intercepted a bike bearing Registration Number JK21F-9412 for its checking. During checking, 3.20 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of the bike rider.
The arrested drug peddler has been identified as Vikas, son of Madan Singh of Katli Samba.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 153/2024 U/S 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur. Further investigation of the case is going on.
