KATHUA, May 10: District Police Kathua arrested one more notorious criminal and slapped Public Safety Act (PSA) on him.
The arrest was made under the overall supervision of SSP, Shivdeep Singh Jamwal who constituted a team which was led by Inspector, Tariq Ahmed, SHO Police Station (PS), Rajbagh under the supervision of SDPO Border, Dheeraj Singh Katoch today to apprehend one notorious criminal namely Mir Hamza alias Mian S/o Lt. Alam Din R/o Khanpur tehsil Marheen district Kathua.
He was habitual criminal and history sheeter involved in various criminal cases at Police Station Rajbagh and other Police Stations of the district Kathua. He was apprehended today and detention warrant was issued by District Magistrate, Kathua.
Police said in order to prevent his illegal activities in the Kathua district, dossier was prepared against the accused person and sent to the District Magistrate, Kathua for his detention under the Public Safety Act(PSA).
Accordingly District Magistrate, Kathua issued a detention warrant against the accused and warrant has been executed today and lodged in Central
Kot-Bhalwal Jail Jammu to curtail his various criminal activities.
