SAMBA, May 20: Police arrested a suspect at village Dug near Baba Chamliyal in Ramgarh border Sector of Samba district late last night.
He has been identified as Farooq Ahmed, son of Abdul Karim of Doda. According to sources, Farooq was seen moving in the area suspiciously during last night. The people caught hold of him and handed over him to local police.
However, he did not divulge any thing as to why he had come to area from such a far of place. Following his arrest a joint team of police, SOG ,Army and CRPF along with the suspect launched search operations in the villages of Narayanpur, Jerda and Nandpur in the border belt of Ramgarh today but did not recover anything from there.
Police also did not divulge the details of joint search operations conducted in the area.
