SRINAGAR, May 14: Police attached properties of two terror handlers based in Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday.

Police on Tuesday said after obtaining the attachment order from Sub Judge Uri, it attached properties including 1 Kanal and 11 Marlas worth lakhs belonging to two terror handlers based in Pakistan.
They have been identified as Mohammad Arif Badal, a resident of Nawarunda, and Mohammad Bashir, of Gowhallan Uri.
“The action was taken under sections of 83 CRPC and is linked with cases FIR No. 82/1999 u/s 2/3 EIMCO Act, FIR No. 34/1999 u/s 354, 323 and 06/2008 u/s 2/3 EIMCO Act of PS Uri,” the police said.
The property was identified as belonging to terror handlers during the course of the investigation and inquiry conducted by the police, they said.
The police said it has attached the properties of 20 terror handlers worth crores in Baramulla district so far this year.
